Albert (Dick) is born in Newton.

Dick Albert graduates from the University of Michigan, serves as meteorologist in the U.S. Air Force then at television stations out west before returning to Boston to become meteorologist for WCVB in the summer of 1978. Known for his infectious good humor and delight with all things having to do with the weather, he is voted the second most popular weathercaster in the U.S. in 1987 and continues with the station until his retirement on February 26, 2009.
